                            Featured Pet: Jimmy-June and Nyla

BeFunky Collage

Jimmy-June and Nyla have been at the shelter since January 2017, when we rescued them, along with 32 other cats, from a dangerous and overcrowded hoarding situation. All of the other cats from that day have been adopted, but Jimmy-June and Nyla are still waiting.

Jimmy-June is a sweet, affectionate, and playful 2-year old male brown and white tabby who is very curious (especially about cameras, as you can see from his pictures!) He’s a smart boy that answers to his name when called, and he loves to sleep inside the pillowcase that is covering his bed.

Nyla is a friendly 6-year old female orange tabby who loves treats and playing with her toy mouse. Her ideal home would probably be where she is the only pet, as we’re not sure how well she gets along with other pets. She’s extremely friendly with all humans, and loves to be petted.

Both of these wonderful cats are spayed/neutered and up to date on all their shots. They’re also both big cats, with big hearts full of love to give. They would love to find their “furever” home soon – they’ve been patiently waiting for so long. For more information on either Nyla or Jimmy June, please call the Montville Animal Shelter at 973-334-6410.
