Concussion Education Program | The Montville Township Health Department is hosting a Concussion Education Program on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 7 p.m. in the Montville Township High School media center, presented by Dr. Joelle Rehberg, district physician for Montville Township Public Schools and specialist in concussion and sports medicine. At the seminar, parents can learn about the science of concussions, signs and symptoms, myths and misconceptions, treatment options, and return-to-school and -play protocols. The seminar is open to residents of Montville and surrounding communities. |
Rabies Clinic Dogs/Cats | Spring Rabies Vaccination Clinic: Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m Montville FD Station 3, 86 River Road (corner of Church Lane) Free - open to all NJ residents A list of the many other free rabies vaccination clinics that will be held throughout Morris County can be found at: https://www.morriscountynj.gov/Residents/Public-Safety/Rabies-Clinics. Child Health Clinic | The Child Health Clinic is open to uninsured and under-insured children from birth through 18 years of age. Services are provided by a board-certified pediatrician, and include physical exams and immunizations. Vaccines are from the New Jersey Vaccines for Children (VFC) program and are available to children without health insurance, and children with Medicaid Part A insurance. Held the 2nd Wednesday of each month, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. By appointment only, please call 973-331-3316 for an appointment. |

Breast, Cervical, Colorectal, and Prostate Cancer Screenings | In partnership with Atlantic Health Systems, sponsored by the New Jersey Cancer Education and Early Detection Program (NJCEED). Please call to find out if you qualify for these free cancer screenings. For more information about the screenings or other services, please call 973-971-5952 (English) or 973-971-5707 (Spanish). Please call 973-331-3316 and ask for our public health nurse to arrange for an appointment for them to come to your home to administer the vaccine. Please note that in addition to local health departments and some physicians offices, flu vaccinations are also widely available at national-chain pharmacies, stores, and supermarkets.
