As a reminder to our property owners, any fallen trees or limbs from their property that are resting on sidewalks, right-of-ways, or hanging into the street are their responsibility to be removed as soon as possible. Chapter 287 regarding Property Maintenance, states that “overhanging limbs which obstruct pedestrian or vehicular traffic shall be removed.”
We are nearing 2 weeks since the last storm and many fallen trees and limbs from personal property have not been removed.
Removal should be done within the next 24 to 48 hours of this notification or summonses may be issued.
Brush shall be bundled and tied properly so that each bundle may be picked up and handled by one person. No bundle shall exceed fifty pounds in weight, four feet in length, or two ...feet in diameter. Individual branches shall not exceed four inches in diameter.
The Township’s contract for vegetative waste collection will start April 1. Please store those items you bundled correctly until then. The collection of vegetative waste is the same day as your first regularly scheduled solid waste pickup which is either Monday in Section One or Tuesday in Section Two.
