RESOLUTION # 2021  01

 

2021 TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING SCHEDULE

WHEREAS, the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq., requires all public bodies covered by said Act at least once each year and within seven (7) days following the Annual Organization or Reorganization Meeting of such body to post and maintain posted throughout the year as set forth in the Act, a Schedule of the Regular Meetings of the public body to be held during the succeeding year; and

 

WHEREAS, the Emergency Remote Meeting Protocol for Local Public Bodies, N.J.A.C. 5:39-1.1 et seq., establishes additional notice requirements for meetings held remotely during a declared state of emergency. 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Committee of the Township of Montville, as follows:

 

1.The Schedule of Regular Meetings of the Montville Township Committee as set forth in the Schedule annexed hereto be and the same is hereby adopted.

 

2.The Township Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to prominently post said Schedule in at least one (1) public place reserved for such announcements.

 

3.Said Schedule shall be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed by the Township Clerk to the following two (2) newspapers:

 

A.The Citizen

B.The Daily Record

 

4.Said Schedule shall be placed on file with the Township Clerk.

 

5.Said Schedule shall be posted on the Township website.

 

6.Said Schedule shall be posted on the main access door of the Municipal Building, viewable from the outside.

 

5.In the event that the annexed Schedule is hereafter revised, the revised Schedule shall be posted, mailed and filed by the Township Clerk in the manner described hereinabove.

 

6.Special Meetings may be held as and when necessary with Notice to be given as provided for in the Act and meetings involving urgent matters may be held as provided for in Section 4(b) of the Act.  The Township Clerk is hereby directed to prominently post said Notices in at least one (1) public place reserved for such announcements at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance of all meetings.

 

7.Said Notices shall also be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to the above newspapers at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the meeting.

 

8.Said Notices shall be placed on file with the Township Clerk.

 

9. The Township Clerk shall post a copy of this Resolution.

 

MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE - SCHEDULE OF REGULAR MEETINGS 2021

 

Schedule of Regular Meetings:  Second and Fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m.  The public portion will begin at 7 p.m. unless otherwise specified below or in a special meeting notice.  It is the intention of the Governing Body to meet in closed session at the conclusion of the regular session. 

 

Meetings scheduled from January through June 2021 will be held via teleconferencing in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act and Emergency Remote Meeting Protocol for Local Public Bodies.

 

Meetings scheduled from July through December 2021 will be held in person at the Municipal Building, 195 Changebridge Road, Montville, New Jersey.

To attend any meetings held remotely, members of the public may call 1-978-990-5000 at the designated time. You will be prompted to enter an Access Code: 424062#. 

 

The agenda to the extent known will be available prior to the meeting on the Township website agenda center at www.montvillenj.com or may be requested from the Township Clerk at sgruca@montvillenj.org or 973-331-3304. Members of the public will be muted during the meeting, but may speak during the designated public comment portion.  The phone lines will be unmuted to allow for public comment.

 

Written public comments may also be submitted to the Township Clerk by email at sgruca@montvillenj.org or by mail to Clerk, Montville Township Municipal Building, 195 Changebridge Road, Montville, NJ 07045. Written public comments must include the individual’s name, full address and contact information, and identify the meeting they are intended for, as well any relevant ordinance, if applicable. Written public comments must be received by the Clerk no later than 3 p.m. on the meeting date and will be read into the record at the end of the public comment portion. There is a three-minute time limit on all public comments.
